Bike Your Park Day
The first public engagement event for the Cattail Creek Corridor and Anchor Route Park Master Plan will be the City's second Bike Your Park Day celebration on Saturday, September 28th from 10-noon. Community members are encouraged to get outside and enjoy a chain of parks within the study area and to give input on the initial master plan concepts.
From 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. there will be activities for all ages in the parks between Cattail Street and Catamount including Matthew Madison and Sandan Parks. All are welcome to join us for bike decorating, artwork commissioned by Mountain Time Arts, a youth basketball skills clinic and more! Bozeman Parks and Recreation, Gallatin Watershed Council, Gallatin Valley Land Trust, Montana Rebels Basketball, and Bozeman Bike Kitchen will all be present along with several other community organizations.
Urban Parks and Forestry Board Presentation
Staff will present the preliminary designs for the Cattail Creek Park Corridor and engage the board in discussion regarding initial recommendations for the Anchor Route, increasing natural areas, and programming of park spaces with sports courts, playgrounds and other active recreation.
Meeting Details
City Board Presentations and Neighborhood Meetings
In November and December, staff will present at the Transportation Board and Sustainability Board and will attend meetings of the Kirk Park Neighborhood and West Winds HOA among other groups. More details will be provided as meetings are finalized.
