Historic Preservation Advisory Board Meeting
The Historic Preservation Advisory Board meets on the third Wednesday of every month. In an effort to recognize the history of underrepresented communities, HPAB has been working on identifying these places and stories for research. This effort started in the fall of 2022 when 13 houses were surveyed that are tied to early African American settlers of Bozeman. At this HPAB meeting, we will be joined by Crystal Alegria, Executive Director of Extreme History, where she will talk about the history and stories of these residents.
The meeting starts at 6:00pm and is located in the City Commission chambers at City Hall, 121 N. Rouse Avenue.
Westgate Village Shopping Center Presentation
You may know it as the place where Colombo's Pizza is across from MSU, but did you know that the Westgate Village Shopping Center is Bozeman's first multi-tenant shopping center? You can learn even more about this great piece of history that has been nominated for the National Register of Historic Places!
Join us at the Museum of the Rockies at 6:00pm to listen to Scott Carpenter talk about the Westgate Village Shopping Center.
