Project Update

It's been awhile since you've heard from us on this project but we're back with an update! Thank you to everyone who shared feedback last fall. Your input has been an important part of how we’re approaching next steps.

Right now, we’re taking a fresh look at the scope of the project. The corridor presents a number of challenges, and we want to make sure the benefits of potential improvements are the best use of available resources.

As we plan for the next five years, we’re carefully considering funding priorities and where they can have the greatest impact. One option under review is scaling back the project—such as not building on the north side in order to preserve existing trees.

We’re also conducting a traffic evaluation to better understand what benefits improvements in this corridor could bring. The results of that study will help guide decisions as part of the upcoming Capital Improvement Plan.

Community feedback has played an important role in getting us to this point, and we welcome continued input as we evaluate the best path forward. Thanks for staying engaged with us!
