The City Commission adopted the Parks, Recreation and Active Transportation with glowing comments at a public hearing on September 12, 2023 (Video Link)

Public comment provided by the Gallatin Valley Land Trust endorsed the Plan as a guide for growth for the next 10 years and beyond:
"The plan recognizes the intersection of park infrastructure and trails with the broader transportation network and is the first step in creating a community with more equitable access to parks, trails, which in turn feeds into a more accessible transportation network that better connects our community."
